Shkolla per Vajza
For I was an hungred, and ye
gave me meat: I was thirsty,
and ye gave me drink: I was a
stranger, and ye took me in:
Naked, and ye clothed me: I
was sick, and ye visited me…
Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it
unto one of the least of
these my brethren, ye have
done it unto me.
Matthew 25:35-40

The school consists of two classes.
The first, taught by Yzedin Hajdari and assisted by Ona, teaches twenty-one girls
first grade. Classes include Albanian, reading, writing, and culture (manners).
The second, taught by Megan Mays and assisted by Moza and Diana, teaches
nine girls kindergarten. Lessons taught in kindergarten include ABC's, colors,
numbers, teamwork, cleanliness, sharing, manners, and Bible stories.
Below you can see some pictures of the classrooms, the girls, and more.
We tried to get a group photo when everyone was there, but we are still missing
several students.
Visiting friends from the America took a turn teaching. Standing against the back wall is Emma
Quedzuweit, our fundrasing director. Holding the felt is her mother, Cathy, and next to her is
Ona, translating for the girls. Today the girls learned about animals in other parts of the world.
Teacher Yzedin Hajdari smiles as his first graders prepare to sing their school song.
